The 14th Annual International Dinner was a resounding success, bringing together community members, partners, staff, and youth for an unforgettable evening of global flavours and celebration. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the fundraiser raised meaningful funds that will directly strengthen our youth programs.
This year, our young people played an especially important role. Fourteen youth wrote thoughtful submissions expressing why they wanted to volunteer and why The Door is meaningful to them. These youth were selected and awarded $100 gift cards in recognition of their leadership and commitment. On the night of the event, they served food, welcomed guests, and proudly shared their experiences at the centre, showcasing remarkable confidence and community spirit. Their presence truly embodied what The Door stands for: empowerment, engagement, and giving back.
A special thank you goes out to our Gold and Bronze Sponsors, Hydro Ottawa, Somerset West Community Health Centre, LaBarge Weinstein, Ottawa Police Services, Kelly Funeral Homes, Sunnyside Psychotherapy, and Richshaw Publishing. Your generosity helped make this year’s celebration unforgettable.
We also extend our appreciation to our incredible supporters: Chinatown Ottawa, Laheeb Restaurants, Phuket Royal, Stolen Goods Cocktail Bar, and the Air Canada Foundation. Your continued support strengthens our mission and creates meaningful opportunities for the young people we serve.
Finally, heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and board members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event an amazing and memorable experience. Your hard work, passion, and commitment made every moment possible. Thank you!
